MUSIC COURSE
In addition to B.D syllabus (Senate prescribed courses) the college provides recommended music course to all the first year students. Foundational Church music course is also offered for students who are interested in Music along with their BD studies. Those students who attain a total aggregate of 60% and above in their first year will be illegible for the Foundational Church Music Course. It is not a separate degree course, but an additional optional subject, exclusively for those students who are already pursuing their BD at TTC.
Objectives of the course:
a. The courses will include basic music theory, aural skills, vocal classes, instruments, conducting etc.
b. The curriculum will focus totally on the ministerial aspect, sacred music and not secular contemporary music.
c. Students will be offered to take up any one of the following areas piano/guitar/violin/voice as part of their practical.
d. At the end of their fourth year, they will be awarded with a certificate during their graduation.
e. Certificates will be not given to those students who do not complete the full four years course.
