Trinity Theological College is sponsored by Sumi Baptist Convention (SBC), which links the three Sumi Associations namely Western Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu (WSBAK), Sumi Aphuyemi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu (SABAK) and Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu (SBAK).
The college is dependent on the Sumi churches and is sustained by local Churches. All major college development projects and faculty/staff salaries are supported by the churches, individuals and families under the three Associations.
